Dr. Himanshu Pathak, Director General of ICRISAT, and Dr. Bram Govaerts, Director General of CIMMYT, joined by senior leaders from both CGIAR centers, underscored the urgency of delivering scalable, science-driven solutions that empower smallholder farmers and build resilient food systems. This renewed alliance aims to strengthen shared research efforts, support the ICRISAT Center of Excellence for South-South Collaboration in Agriculture, and contribute to CGIAR’s global goals of ending hunger, reducing poverty, and safeguarding natural resources, embodying a unified vision for a productive, inclusive, and climate-resilient future.
