CIMMYT germplasm was crossed with Qinghai Plateau spring wheat varieties to uncover the genetic basis of key traits such as yield, stress tolerance, and stripe rust resistance. Through targeted sequencing, 99 loci were identified, including genes linked to all-stage and adult plant resistance, with CIMMYT lines contributing crucial genetic diversity. These findings provide valuable resources for marker-assisted breeding and the development of resilient wheat varieties adapted to high-altitude and stress-prone environments.
