CIMMYT Academy advances CIMMYT’s mission by forging alliances with industry stakeholders to promote the center’s work in the public and private sectors. The Academy is a capacity development program that facilitates training for internal staff and external affiliates such as partners and students, including interns, short-term visiting students, and visiting scientists.

Student Training Program

The Student Training Program offers opportunities to students (bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate) to collaborate with CIMMYT scientists on fixed-term research projects. The program collaborates with over 33 public universities around the world.

Partner Training Program

Partnerships are fundamental to the Academy’s mission of supporting the development of agrifood systems. The Partner Training Program identifies areas of greater collaboration between CIMMYT and organizations like universities, NARs, and CGIAR Research Centers.

CIMMYT Academy manages a Learning Management System (LMS). The LMS is used to plan, implement, and assess the Academy’s learning activities.
