Syed Mahmudul Huq

Training Coordinator

Syed Mahmudul Huq is a training coordinator with CIMMYT in Bangladesh. He holds an MBA degree from Southeast University, Dhaka, and a BSc (Agr) from Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh.

He has extensive work experience in the development sector with Cultivating New Frontiers in Agriculture (CNFA), iDE, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Intercooperation, Helen Keller International, CARE Bangladesh, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and UNICEF.

At CIMMYT, he is working with to establish demand-driven market-based systems to ensure quality and services through partnerships with the public and private sector. He has skills in developing capacity building strategies, conducting training needs assessments and preparing tailor-made training modules, materials, manuals, leaflets and video content.

He organizes various national workshop with the collaboration of the public and private sector, and works as a focal person for the private sector. His work is affiliated with the Innovation Science for Agroecosystems and Food Systems in Asia research theme in CIMMYT’s Sustainable Agrifood Systems (SAS) program.
