Munyaradzi Mutenje is an agricultural economist based in Harare. She received her PhD from the University of Kwa-zulu Natal, South Africa, in 2011 and joined CIMMYT shortly thereafter. Her professional and research interests focus on food security, poverty and livelihood analyses, as well as the impact assessments of agricultural technologies and sustainable development.
As part of the SIMLESA project team, her work involves backstopping national partners in the implementation of socioeconomic activities in Malawi and Mozambique. This involves maize-legume value chain analysis, adoption monitoring and impact assessment, and data synthesis.
