Dr. Feng Feng joined the CIMMYT Board of Trustees in April 2015. He is a member of the Program Committee. Feng’s professional areas of specialization include agricultural research and the administration of scientific funding. He earned a Bachelor of Science in plant genetics and breeding, a Master of Science and doctoral degree in plant pathology from the Agricultural University of China.
Feng was a biotechnology researcher for wheat breeding from 1988 to 1991. He has more than 20 years of experience in scientific project management in the fields of agricultural, life science and bio-medical science in National Science Foundation of China (NSFC). He worked on developing policy and setting priority for agricultural research and organizing international cooperative projects, for example, the joint research between NSFC and CIMMYT, IRRI, and CIP. He recently transferred from the Bureau of International Cooperation NSFC to the College of Advanced Agricultural Sciences, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS). He will serve as a professor and Executive Dean of the College of Advanced Agricultural Sciences, UCAS.
