Professionals from national agricultural research programs in developing countries are invited to apply for IFAR’s Professional Development Program 2010 for a chance to receive a grant to conduct research in collaboration with a CGIAR center. IFAR is a non-profit that fosters scientific excellent in agriculture and related fields through partnerships, collaboration, and awards.
Nominations for this award must be sponsored by a CGIAR center, and applicants are encouraged to collaborate with center scientists when preparing their project proposals. Up to 12 grants will be awarded this year with the maximum individual amount valued at US $11,000. Funds are not intended to finance academic degrees. In the past, CIMMYT has hosted IFAR fellows from Bangladesh and China.
